Hello, I’m Henry. I’m originally from York and currently based in West Yorkshire with over 15 years of experience working in community arts, culture and entertainment. I've worked in literature, theatre, youth arts and radio/podcasting

Everything I do is rooted in art that tells urgent stories. Stories about social change, hope, heart and building strong inclusive communities.

I’m the Artistic Director of Say Owt, a York-based spoken word/poetry organisation. I was a judge for the 2019 Slam Of The North, a judge for Protection International’s 2021 Human Rights Defenders Poetry Challenge and have been co-Chair of York Literature Festival's Board of Trustees.

I co-host the Vandal Factory podcast with Natalie Quatermass looking at the magic moments where arts and activism meet. We’ve interviewed artists from across the world, and hosted live episodes at Greenbelt Festival, Manchester Punk Festival and Big Up Festival in Leeds.

As a poet, I’ve been published by Burning Eye Books and performed across the UK at poetry events, theatres and literature and music festivals.
