He has performed at Latitude Festival, Boomtown Fair, Ilkley Literature Festival, Deer Shed Festival, the Great Yorkshire Fringe and the International Youth Arts Festival to name but a few. He was commissioned by Apples & Snakes to create a piece as part of their 2015 Public Address project, and invited to be a judge for the 2019 Slam Of The North. He’s toured the UK twice, the second time to promote his first poetry collection; Nerd Punk. He’s programmed poetry line-ups for York Theatre Royal, Galtres Festival and the Manchester Punk Festival.
Henry is the Artistic Director of Say Owt and hosts slams, shows, open mics, scratches and workshops across York. Say Owt has received Arts Council funding and was Highly Commended in the 2018 York Culture Awards.
Henry took the Nerd Punk Trilogy to Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015-2017, three shows exploring the radical politics within nerd and geek culture. Henry is currently working on a new solo show, Apps & Austerity, a show documenting social change across the last decade. Henry has performed at protests, demonstrations, occupations and fund-raisers for various causes, from anti-austerity to anti-fracking, as well as given talks at York Saint Johns University and a variety of conferences.
